Abia Homeland Security Suspends Female Officer Over Alleged Vandalism

The Abia State Homeland Security Agency has announced the suspension of one of its personnel, DDL Tochi Oluobube, following allegations linking her to the vandalism of government property in Osisioma Local Government Area.

In a statement issued on Friday, the agency said the decision was taken in response to growing public concern over the alleged incident.

The statement, signed by the agency’s Public Relations Officer, Ezinwanne Alili, emphasized that the organisation maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward indiscipline and misconduct among its personnel.

“The agency has zero tolerance for acts of indiscipline perpetrated by any personnel. This act of vandalism allegedly involving the named officer will not be treated as an exception,” the statement read.

According to the agency, the officer has been suspended pending the outcome of a full investigation being conducted in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force.

“She will be dealt with in line with the extant Code of Conduct for personnel of the agency once the police conclude their investigation,” the statement added.

The agency assured the public that the investigation would be thorough, transparent, and impartial, noting that it is working closely with relevant authorities to ensure a swift resolution and that justice is served.

It further reiterated its commitment to upholding discipline and professionalism, stressing that any action contrary to its mandate of protecting lives and property in Abia State would not be tolerated.
