The legal battle centres on the custody of Imade Adeleke, Davido’s daughter with Sophia. The former couple dated in 2015, and their daughter was born on May 14 of that year.

In 2024, Davido approached a Lagos High Court seeking unrestricted access to his daughter. Sophia, however, maintained that she had never denied the singer access.

Last week, the music star announced he was withdrawing the custody case. He clarified that his intention had never been to seek sole custody of Imade but to establish a structured co-parenting arrangement.

Davido also opened up about the emotional toll of the court proceedings, revealing that the matter took a painful turn when Sophia’s counsel referenced his late son during arguments — a move he described as a “low blow.”

Momodu, who is currently in Liberia, said he had received numerous messages from concerned fans urging him to intervene in the situation. According to him, Davido is held in extremely high regard in the country, where he is treated like a “god of music.”

Sharing his thoughts via Instagram, Momodu reassured followers that the family is actively working to settle the dispute privately and appealed to the public to keep everyone involved in their prayers.

He noted that his visit to Liberia was primarily to commiserate with former Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor over the passing of her only child, but the Davido matter quickly became a major topic among fans who approached him.

Despite public interest and online commentary, Momodu expressed confidence that everything would be resolved amicably.
