The Labour Party has called on Nigerians not to lose hope despite the country’s current difficulties, urging citizens to remain steadfast and committed to building a better nation.
In an Easter message titled “Let Us Not Despair,” the party’s Interim National Chairman, Nenadi Usman, appealed to both leaders and citizens to play their roles in addressing the challenges facing the country.
She urged those in positions of authority to intensify efforts toward easing the hardship experienced by Nigerians, while encouraging citizens to remain optimistic about the future.
Drawing inspiration from the Christian celebration, Usman noted that just as the disciples held onto hope in the promise of Christ’s resurrection, Nigerians should maintain faith in the possibility of a brighter future.
She emphasized the need for collective responsibility, calling on citizens to reflect on their roles in fostering unity, justice, and national progress.
According to her, while leadership is expected to provide direction and vision, individuals must also uphold values such as integrity, hard work, and patriotism in their daily lives.
Usman further highlighted that Easter symbolizes hope, sacrifice, and forgiveness, urging Nigerians to embrace these virtues in navigating the country’s current situation.
She extended goodwill to Christians across the country, noting that the resurrection of Jesus Christ remains a powerful reminder of resilience and the promise of renewal even in the face of adversity.
