Arsenal Dominate the North London Derby
At the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Arsenal imposed themselves early in a heated North London Derby but had to wait until the 30th minute to find the breakthrough. Bukayo Saka drove forward and found Eberechi Eze, who reacted sharply to steer the ball home.
Spurs responded quickly after the restart when Randal Kolo Muani capitalised on a Declan Rice error to level the score. However, Arsenal regained control almost immediately. Viktor Gyokeres struck powerfully to restore the lead early in the second half.
Tottenham thought they had drawn level again, but Kolo Muani’s effort was ruled out for a foul on Gabriel Magalhães. Arsenal took full advantage of the reprieve. Eze grabbed his second of the night after Saka’s initial attempt was blocked, before Gyökeres wrapped up the emphatic win with a late fourth.
The result marked Arsenal’s fifth consecutive derby victory and kept them clear of second-placed Manchester City FC, albeit having played a game more.
Iwobi Shines as Fulham Bounce Back
At the Stadium of Light, Iwobi was central to Fulham’s impressive away victory. His corner delivery led to Raul Jimenez opening the scoring just after the hour mark with a powerful header.
Jiménez doubled the advantage from the penalty spot after Calvin Bassey was brought down in the box. Sunderland reduced the deficit through Enzo Le Fee from another penalty, but Fulham responded swiftly.
Iwobi sealed the win in style, finishing a rapid counterattack with a delicate chip over the goalkeeper — a composed effort that highlighted his growing influence under Marco Silva.
The victory lifted Fulham above Sunderland in the standings and strengthened their push for a top-half finish.
Elsewhere in the League
Liverpool FC needed stoppage time to edge Nottingham Forest 1-0, with Alexis Mac Allister scoring after an earlier effort had been ruled out by VAR.
Crystal Palace FC also secured a narrow 1-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers thanks to a late strike from Evann Guessand, while Tolu Arokodare missed a crucial penalty for Wolves in a match that could prove costly in their relegation battle.
