According to BBC Sport, the deal makes the 24-year-old the club’s highest-paid player, with wages reportedly exceeding £300,000 per week.
Saka’s previous contract, signed in 2023, was set to expire in 2027. However, the new agreement ensures he will remain with the Gunners during his peak years. Negotiations had been ongoing for nearly a year, with the England international verbally committing to the club in January.
Major Boost for Arteta
The contract extension is a significant boost for manager Mikel Arteta as Arsenal compete on four fronts in pursuit of their first major trophy since 2020.
The North London side currently lead the Premier League by four points and are set to face Manchester City in the EFL Cup Final in March.
They have also advanced to the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League and reached the fifth round of the FA Cup.
Key Figure in Title Push
This season, Saka has scored seven goals in 33 appearances across all competitions, underlining his importance to Arsenal’s title challenge.
His new deal follows a series of long-term renewals at the club, including contracts for William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhães, Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly.
Arsenal’s strategy of securing key players on long-term deals reflects their ambition to build a squad capable of sustained domestic and European success in the coming years.
