The Obidient Movement has sounded the alarm over an apparent glitch in the Independent National Electoral Commission’s IREV system, which reportedly failed to reflect results from several polling units.
The FCT elections are ongoing across six councils — Abuja Municipal Area Council, Bwari, Gwagwalada, Kuje, Abaji, and Kwali — where chairmen and councillors are being elected.
In a Saturday statement titled “Alert from the Obidient Movement Headquarters,” the group’s National Coordinator, Yunusa Tanko, urged members and citizens to closely monitor the collation of results and ensure transparency.
“While the IREV server is functioning, it is not showing the results that were uploaded from various polling units,” the statement said.
The movement encouraged peaceful engagement, advising concerned citizens to verify results directly at the Area 10 INEC office and in Karu, if necessary.
The portal, IREV, is intended to allow the public to view real-time polling unit results to improve transparency. INEC had not commented on the reported glitch at the time of reporting.
