Governor Alex Otti has congratulated the immediate past Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, on his appointment as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain.

Otti conveyed his felicitation in a press statement issued on Monday and signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Ferdinand Ekeoma. The statement was made available to journalists in Umuahia.

The governor described Ikpeazu’s appointment as an opportunity for him to serve the nation at the diplomatic level while safeguarding the interests of Nigerians residing in Spain.

He also expressed appreciation to Bola Tinubu for the appointment, commending the President for considering the former governor for the diplomatic role.

Otti further urged the Federal Government to provide Ikpeazu and other newly appointed ambassadors with the necessary support and resources required to succeed in their assignments abroad.

The governor wished the former Abia helmsman a fruitful and impactful service in his new role, expressing confidence that he would represent Nigeria creditably.
