Popular Nigerian influencer and outspoken critic, VeryDarkMan, has alleged that Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, is threatening his life.
VeryDarkMan made the claim on Friday afternoon in a viral video posted on his Instagram page, where he called on Nigerians to hold Seyi Tinubu and content creator King Mitchy responsible should anything happen to him.
The allegation comes amid an ongoing online rivalry between VeryDarkMan and King Mitchy.
DAILY POST reports that King Mitchy recently renovated a public school within six days with financial support from Seyi Tinubu. However, she later became involved in a public exchange with VeryDarkMan, who questioned her over alleged failure to properly account for public donations received since 2025.
In earlier remarks, VeryDarkMan accused Seyi Tinubu of sponsoring King Mitchy’s charity activities.
In his latest video, the influencer claimed that both Seyi Tinubu and King Mitchy had begun threatening him following the controversy. He shared what he described as part of a chat message allegedly sent by King Mitchy to his associate, identified as Kokopee.
According to him, the message suggested urgency in resolving the matter after an alleged phone conversation with Seyi Tinubu.
“Nigerians, with respect to what’s going on now, they are beginning to threaten my life. Seyi Tinubu and King Mitchy are threatening my life,” he said in the video.
He further alleged that Seyi Tinubu was angry over his public criticism and described him as influential and powerful.
“A threat to my life has been issued. If anything should happen to me and my close ones, hold @seyitinubu and King Mitchy responsible. This is not a joke. I don’t feel safe,” he stated.
VeryDarkMan claimed that his criticisms of the current administration may be the reason behind the alleged threats.
As of the time of filing this report, neither Seyi Tinubu nor King Mitchy had publicly responded to the allegations.
