Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen now leads the Player of the Match standings in the UEFA Champions League, following a series of impressive displays for Galatasaray S.K..

According to UEFA’s official update on X on Tuesday, the Super Eagles striker has recorded four Man of the Match awards — the highest tally by any player in this season’s competition so far.

His latest accolade came after a standout performance against Juventus F.C., where he scored a crucial goal to help Galatasaray seal a dramatic 7–5 aggregate victory and progress to the round of 16.

Osimhen has been in exceptional form throughout the campaign, netting seven goals in eight Champions League appearances. His aerial dominance, pace, physicality and relentless pressing have been central to Galatasaray’s European run.

The 27-year-old currently sits ahead of global stars such as Kylian Mbappé, Harry Kane and Erling Haaland in the Player of the Match rankings — underlining his growing influence on the continental stage.

Osimhen completed a permanent move from S.S.C. Napoli to Galatasaray last summer, and the Turkish champions are already reaping the rewards of that investment.
