‘We’ll not negotiate with US, Trump started it’ – Iran

Ali Larijani has declared that Iran will not enter into negotiations with the United States amid escalating hostilities in the Middle East.

Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, made the statement on X while reacting to media reports suggesting that Tehran had reached out to Washington through intermediaries to resume talks.

In a strongly worded post, Larijani accused US President Donald Trump of fueling instability in the region.

“With his crazy actions, he has changed his own slogan of ‘America First’ into ‘Israel First’ and is willing to send American soldiers to support Israel’s search for power,” Larijani wrote.

He further stated that Iranian forces “did not start the invasion,” insisting that Iran was responding to aggression.

The remarks follow a series of coordinated military strikes reportedly carried out by the United States and Israel, which significantly escalated the conflict.

The strikes allegedly killed Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, after his residence was hit on Saturday. Reports indicate that several members of his family were also killed in the attack.

The Israeli military also claimed that Ali Shamkhani, a top adviser to Khamenei, and General Mohammad Pakpour, head of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, were among those killed in the strikes.

Tensions remain high as both sides continue to trade accusations, raising fears of a prolonged and wider regional conflict.
