What to bring as police constable screening starts March 9

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that the screening exercise, conducted in collaboration with the Police Service Commission, will hold daily from 7:00 a.m. at the Police College Ikeja.

The Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Adebisi, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday.

According to the statement, the exercise is open strictly to applicants who are indigenes of Lagos State and who successfully completed the online registration for the 2025/2026 recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force as General Duty and Specialist Police Constables.

“The screening exercise will hold daily from 7:00 am at the Police College, Ikeja,” the statement read.

Mandatory documents required

Applicants are required to present the following documents, neatly arranged in two white flat files:

Invitation Slip (with assigned table)

Credential Screening Form

Original National Identity Number (NIN) printout or card issued by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC)

O’ Level (GCE/SSCE) Certificate

Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age

LGA/State of Origin Certificate

Trade Test/Certificate (for Specialists only)

Duly completed and signed Guarantors’ Form with photocopies and passport photographs of referees attached

Original and duplicate copies of all credentials, neatly packaged in two separate white flat files, with recent passport photographs attached

The Command warned that any candidate who fails to present the required items will not be considered for screening.

Dress code and compliance

Applicants have been directed to appear in clean white T-shirts and white shorts for the exercise. They are also advised to strictly adhere to their scheduled screening dates and comply with all guidelines provided.

The Command emphasised that the screening process is entirely free of charge and will be conducted strictly on merit, in line with professional and transparent standards.

Members of the public were urged to report any individual or group demanding payment or gratification in connection with the recruitment exercise.
